The Yale Club of LA and James Danziger (’75 BA) are excited to invite you to join fellow Yalies at the Danziger Gallery on Friday, March 3rd for an exclusive special preview of his latest exhibitions, “The Neighbors” by Arne Svenson and “Approximate Joy” by Christopher Anderson.
The evening will include remarks by the artist. Wine and small bites will be served.
Taken at different times and in different countries the primary element the photographs have in common is that the subjects of the photographs are unaware of being photographed. Svenson’s “The Neighbors” are masterfully composed moments of everyday life in New York City seen through the Mondrianesque grid of the metal windowpanes. Anderson’s “Approximate Joy” captures faces on the streets of Shanghai and Shenzhen in stunningly detailed telephoto enabled observations of the human condition unimpaired by the self-consciousness of posed moments.
