ChatGPT and other Random Acts of Digital

The Yale Clubs of LA and Boston invite you to join us for this terrific discussion on AI’s most talked-about new phenomenon, ChatGPT. This discussion will pick up where we left off in the Yale Club of LA’s very popular December event, “Getting Clear on Artificial Intelligence.”

It’s official: “digital transformation” and “artificial intelligence” have entered the mainstream. Over the past few months, references to each term have proliferated beyond the realms of academia and consulting, saturating news media, online search, and the pop blogosphere.

ChatGPT is without question the latest AI solution to go viral, and is now traversing the "hype cycle." Upon its release last December, opinion leaders have encouraged everyone – from artists to physicians to students – to experiment with the ChatGPT platform and take awe in the results. But aside from its novel wow-factor:

  • What are the cases where ChatGPT transforms the status quo, delivers a significant economic impact, and creates value?

  • How does ChatGPT or any new technology rise from an isolated, shiny new object to a functional solution that powers meaningful improvements in commerce, content creation, science, and life?

  • And when we consider the bigger picture of digital transformation, how do we ensure that we are leading with strategy, not just the underlying enabling technologies?

Register to join industry experts and Yale alumni for an on-line discussion exploring the potential of ChatGPT and other emerging technologies, while cutting through the hype and providing pragmatic advice.

Format: Brief presentation followed by Q&A. The majority of event-time will be open for attendee questions. Moderated by Fred Isbell from the Board of the Yale Club of Boston and YaleLA’s Co-President Kevin Mark Lodie, and featuring Dr. Jobst Landgrebe, MD, PhD.
